I am in Gbarpolu this week to witness the installation of our local government which was carefully selected by President Boakai by consulting with our people through their elected representatives to reflect all six of our administrative districts, therefore, balancing the power dynamics in Gbarpolu County. The event was attended by the current and former Legislative Caucus members, chiefs, elders, the clergy, youth, civil society organizations, and citizens from all six districts. We the Legislative Caucus thank the President for his leadership in initiating post-election reconciliation in the county, and all our citizens for their support.
I met with representatives from all the districts yesterday to public good issues: roads, education, health, and the increased murder cases due to the absence of the police and courts across the County. Fixing these issues with the President and his team in the Executive Branch will be our focus when we return from our Legislative recess. We own them now!
