The Ad-hoc Committee set up by the Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the Destination Inspections Contract between the Government of Liberia and MedTech Scientific Limited submitted its report to the Senate Plenary on September 19, 2024. The report outlines the review findings with implications for commerce, industry, and customs revenues.
The objectives of this investigation were to ensure transparency in the contract processes, assess the service provider’s compliance and performance, provide financial oversight, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance throughout the procurement and execution of the contracts.
